- Avascular - meaning it receives nutrients (diffusion) from connective tissues
Classifications/Families:
- 1)Membranous Epithelial Tissue: located throughout the body and form structures (outer skin, inner lining of cavities, covering organs)
- 2)Glandular Epithelial Tissue: specialized tissues - secretory portion of glands
