So You Wanna Be A Scientist?
Scientist's Education
- Pretty much have a solid GRE score with a good GPA (3.5+ can really help).
- Pick a scientific field and subspecialty
- Get into a school (Masters/PhD) - PhD makes can make you the principal investigator in research while Masters/Bachelors is just a research assistant
- Do a post doc in the field you want.
- Keep doing scientist stuff : P
So You Wanna Be An Engineer?
- Pretty much have a 750-800 GRE math score (old GRE not sure now) with a good GPA (3.5+ can really help).
- Get into a engineering grad program
- Pick your field and subspecialty (Civil, Mechanical, Computer (triforce/trinity eh?))
- Start building things!
- More do-ers than talkers (if by do-er I mean technically scientific work).
