Physiology
Biology is the accumulation of knowledge of how we understand living things. From large to small from specific areas of the organism (body, region, organ system, organ, tissue, cell). It is heavily based on concepts that have been supported by experiments but without the underlying question of why? Of the three branches of science, this is heavily qualitative by understanding how things work through observations as it tries to explain the trends. Stand alone it is incomplete without its cousins - physics and chemistry - and all together composes the "trinity" or "triforce" of science.
