] Aside Surface Area to Volume

Surface Area to Volume Ratio
  • 1there was one college in germany?europe! wanting to create membranes from bubbles,
  • 2there was one college studying archea? from volcanic plateus/calderas,
  • 3there was one college wanting to induce division through vibrations
A shout out to those guys, they should incorporate each other's work or at least talk to each other and attempt to bring it all together. Lets say adding temperature while vibration. Hmm??? If increasing temperature increases the molecular motion... then it may actually cause a cell to divide like a typical cell and furthermore, bolster the idea of Brownian motion and dG and all that thermodynamic stuff. Interesting right!?...
BUT their premise was that life needs:
  • 1-needs a membrane
  • 2-needs DNA or information storage to divide
  • 3-needs metabolism
THINK of it as Maslow's heirarchy of needs:
  • You need a roof over your head - cell membrane/wall
  • You need to eat - metabolism
  • You need think to function - DNA or information (a bit of an adlib)
